Monopoly Game Parts and Pieces

mmonopolyboardOne of the difficulties that I have in purchasing used board games is determining whether all of the pieces are present.  And none so difficult as Monopoly with it’s game piece tokens,cards and play money. So this post is simply a  list of the pieces and parts of a standard Monopoly game.

        1. The Money for the Bank
          • 20 $500 bills (orange)
          • 20 $100 bills (beige)
          • 30 $50 bills (blue)
          • 50 $20 bills (green)
          • 40 $10 bills (yellow)
          • 40 $5 bills (pink)
          • 40 $1 bills (white)
        2. 32 houses and 12 hotels
        3. 22 title cards,2 utility and 4 railroad cards
        4. 32 chance and community chest cards, 16 each
        5. 2 dice
        6. 12 metal tokens
        • Wheelbarrow (1937b edition) or Purse (1950s & earlier)
        • Battleship
        • Sack of money (1999–2007 editions; won a contest over a piggy bank and biplane)
        • Man on horseback (no longer in classic edition)or Lantern (1950s & earlier)
        • Racecar
        • Locomotive (Deluxe Edition only)
        • Thimble
        • Howitzer, better known as a cannon (no longer in classic edition)
        • Old-style shoe (or boot)
        • Scottie dog or rocking horse(1950s & earlier)
        • Iron
        • Top hat
